“I’d like to say that I genuinely love you, and I genuinely care, and I genuinely want to see you in heaven someday. I want you to find peace. I want you to find joy.” – some of Tammy Faye Messner’s last words, addressed to her fans. I believe she was a true Christian with a huge, loving heart.
Rest in peace, Tammy. I never got to meet you, but I love you and I’ll miss you.

She was a sweetheart, and she was tough as nails. I hope that when faced with my immediate mortality, that I can confront it with as much courage, faith, and sense of humor as she.
