Spring Awakening

Spring is in the air, so I thought I’d share a really cool photo that I took on May 9, 2003. This baby American Robin was perched under my carport and didn’t seem frightened at all. I was able to get some really great macro shots of him before he flew away. Click the image to see it full-size.

Superb! I love being able to zoom in and examine every thread of his feathers. (There must be a name for them … hmmm …)

You are right about his feet. Babies often resemble old people (and vice versa).
Sir Winston Churchill had a good retort on this topic. An over-enthusiastic new mother who thrust her baby under our Prime Minister’s nose, was heard to say:
“Mr. Churchill, my baby looks so much like you!”
He replied:
“Madam. ALL babies look like me.”
Perhaps I should have looked up this link and sent it to reinforce my point :-)
