The Grammys were better than usual, but there was one performance that literally made me cry twice. Corinne Bailey Rae, John Legend, and John Mayer took the stage together and each artist sang one of their songs while being accompanied by the other two. Rae started with “Like A Star” followed by a gorgeous “Coming Home” by John Legend. Rae harmonizing on the chorus with Legend was chill-inducing and brought me to tears. The unlikely trio ended with “Gravity” by John Mayer, who performed a wicked guitar solo before picking up the Grammy for best male pop vocal album.
Oh, yeah… the second time I cried was when I rewound and watched it again. You’ll understand why when you watch the video.
